Steal From The Rich! Base Building Guide: Placing and Displaying Stolen Treasures
How to place stolen crates and treasures on your plot in Steal From The Rich!, manage the display in My Items, and work within the 7-slot plot capacity.
Quick answer
In Steal From The Rich!, building and decorating your base means displaying the treasures you steal: carry a stolen crate home, place it on your plot, open it when it shows READY, then place the revealed treasure so it earns money every second. Displaying loot is the decoration system here — the official How to Play list puts it as “Build and decorate your dream base with your stolen treasures!” — and the money your display generates funds further base upgrades.
- Steal a crate and carry it home to your plot.
- Check the appraisal timer and open the crate when it shows READY.
- Place the revealed treasure on the plot to start its dollar-per-second income.
- Manage what is displayed in My Items with Equip Best and UNEQUIP.
- The plot starts with 7 slots; buy more at the wooden sign when it is full.

Placing a stolen crate on your plot
The loot loop ends at your own plot: steal a crate, "carry the crate home, place it on your plot, and open it when it's READY."
Redeem steps
- Steal a crate and carry it home
The loop is to steal a crate, carry the crate home, place it on your plot, and open it when it's READY.
- Place the crate on your plot and check its appraisal timer
Return it to your base, check its appraisal timer, and open it when it is ready.
- Open the crate when it shows READY
A ready crate shows the Open Crate prompt; opening unboxes an item with rarity, income, condition, and odds.
- Review the treasure you received
Look over what you got before deciding what to display.
Placing the revealed treasure: the display that earns per second
The revealed treasure, not the crate, is what populates your base. A crate that is still being appraised has to go through the opening process first; once you hold the revealed treasure and have room, you are choosing where to display it. Place the treasure on your plot, read its dollar-per-second label, and compare it with the items already displayed, because displayed treasures provide the passive income — open the crate, place its treasure on the plot, and watch the money balance as it earns. A gameplay video shows the same result from the player's side: after putting an item down, the base works "like a museum" and makes money per second.
Managing the display in My Items
The display is managed through the My Items menu. It lists equipped treasures with their income rates and UNEQUIP buttons, and its capacity counter shows how much equipped space you are using and whether your display is full. The menu also has an Equip Best button; its replacement confirmation reports how many items were placed and removed, so review the actual replacement on your plot rather than assuming how the button ranks every condition or mutation. UNEQUIP is an equipment control too. Treat all of these as display actions — the buttons do not show a selling transaction or give you a sale price.
Reading a placed treasure's label
Comparison
| Label | Practical use |
|---|---|
| Item name | Identifying which treasure you are comparing |
| Rarity | Reading the item's stated rarity |
| Quality descriptor | Distinguishing the condition shown on this item |
| Dollar-per-second value | Comparing its displayed income with your other treasures |
| Odds label | Reading the chance label without assuming a complete loot table |
When choosing which treasures to display, compare the item's displayed income rate with your other treasures — do not choose from object size alone.
Slot limits, the full-plot warning, and the Upgrade Plot sign
Your plot has one placement capacity, described two ways in-game: item slots on the plot and equipped space in My Items.
Checklist
- Your plot starts with 7 item slots
At the limit the game shows: "Your plot is full! (7 slots — upgrade at the sign!)"
- Buy more slots at the wooden plot sign
The toast "Successfully upgraded your plot!" confirms the purchase. The same capacity controls appear as the Upgrade Plot offer or the +1 EQUIP control.
- When full, check My Items before placing
You can be left holding a new treasure with nowhere to place it — check the equipped count in My Items and follow the full-plot warning to the capacity controls instead of trying to place the item repeatedly.
- Keep your highest $X/s items placed
With slots limited, income-per-second is the number to compare.
A plot upgrade's building effect is simply one more slot to place one more treasure — the +1 EQUIP control. Read each Upgrade Plot offer at the sign as you reach it rather than planning around an assumed cost ladder or a maximum capacity; slot prices and the full slot list belong to the sign itself, not this placement guide.
