Steal From The Rich! Speed Training: How to Increase Speed

Train Speed in Steal From The Rich!: the treadmill action and reported gains, when upgrades pay off, and the recommended-Speed gates on richer steal targets.

Run on your treadmill to train Speed in Steal From The Rich! — that is the training action, with reported gains of +15 Speed per step and +25 per run, and your Speed shows as a shoe-icon stat next to your cash. Those figures are observed values, not confirmed fixed rates. Upgrade the treadmill for a Speed boost multiplier, reinvest income into training upgrades, and push your Speed toward the recommended values that richer steal targets display.

How to train Speed

Roadmap

  1. 1

    Get to your treadmill

Treadmill training is a listed How to Play step — '⚡ Train on the treadmill to gain Speed' — and beginner guidance says to start treadmill training early to build Speed.

    • Go to your treadmill; the How to Play sequence puts training right after '⬆️ Upgrade your treadmill and base'.
  2. 2

    Run on the treadmill

Running is the action that grants Speed. Reported gains are +15 Speed per step and +25 per run — observed values, not confirmed constants, so they may vary with treadmill level or updates.

    • Run on your treadmill and watch the Speed increase shown in your session.
  3. 3

    Track the gain

Your Speed appears as a shoe-icon stat next to your cash, so you can confirm training is working at a glance.

  4. 4

    Judge gains per session

Training adds up over a session rather than in instant jumps — recorded gameplay shows a treadmill session ending with almost 3,500 extra Speed.

Why Speed matters

Treadmill training raises Speed so you can outrun enemies and carry crates out of wealthy areas. The systems feed each other: income from displayed loot funds base and treadmill upgrades, higher Speed opens richer zones, and richer zones hide more valuable crates to steal. That ordering is why training advice puts Speed first — escape Speed is everything, so train the treadmill before pushing deeper, and reinvest earnings into Speed first for safer, faster runs. Training Speed, comparing treadmill and trail offers, and managing equipped treasures are your ways to prepare for another run; if a street is familiar but you want more Speed before attempting it, train first, then compare your later preparation on the same route.

Treadmill upgrades and when to buy

Upgrading the treadmill is confirmed in the game's own How to Play step ('⬆️ Upgrade your treadmill and base'), and its effect on training shows in play: a high-level player's treadmill sign read 'Upgrade Treadmill (Level 74, Boost x29)', so upgrades add a Speed boost multiplier. Recorded gameplay that bought an upgrade logged just about 13,000 extra Speed afterward, against almost 3,500 extra Speed from an earlier training session alone.

To buy: check treadmill upgrades at your training area, read the next level, confirm the purchase, and compare progress before spending more. Exact costs per level are not published, so judge each offer on its own screen. For timing, keep reinvesting income into training upgrades — earnings reinvested into Speed first pay off as safer, faster runs — and read the current treadmill and trail offers before spending on an upgrade. One quirk while training: you can't see how much money you're making when you're on the treadmill.

Two purchasable Speed options sit alongside treadmill training. The shop panel has a paid 'x2 Speed ONLY 2 ⚡' offer — the price displays with a ⚡ symbol and the currency type is not confirmed, so check the offer in-game before buying. Separately, trail purchases list Speed effects on their Trail Shop cards: read the Speed multipliers, separate cash from Robux offers, and check the current terms before buying. The game's how-to-play records both within its Train Speed step, so they complement treadmill training rather than replace it. Trail pricing and mechanics beyond those card labels are outside this training guide.

Speed and progression gates

Training pays off as access: 'Reach richer areas and discover greater treasures!' Steal targets display recommended Speed values in-game. Recorded gameplay shows a jeweler-area target reading 'recommended 900 speed' and a Pirates Cove target reading 'recommended 170,000 speed'; the same footage shows a player aiming for 400k Speed before attempting a deeper target. Those are the only recommended values seen in that footage — there is no complete zone-by-zone threshold list. Treat a displayed recommendation as a gate, not a guarantee: the same session shows a steal failing despite Speed far above the recommended value, for a reason the next section explains.

Speed training troubleshooting

If your Speed gains seem not to work, check one setting before anything else: slow mode. Recorded gameplay documents a session where, after buying a 'two times speed' trail, the player was 'still just as slow', and a steal with 13,000 Speed against a 'recommended 900 speed' target still failed — the numbers seemed to make no sense. Both episodes had the same cause: slow mode had been enabled the whole time. With it switched off, the player moved much faster and completed steals at the upgraded Speed. So before judging whether training, a treadmill upgrade, or a trail changed your Speed, confirm slow mode is not enabled. The account comes from recorded gameplay, so treat the slow-mode check as its practical takeaway.
